Key Responsibilities
As a Storekeeper at Java House, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations by maintaining optimal inventory levels, organizing stock, and supporting overall supply chain activities. Your responsibilities include:
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels: Regularly track inventory and initiate reorders to ensure stock availability.
- Inspect deliveries: Verify the quality and quantity of items from suppliers, documenting any discrepancies for resolution.
- Maintain proper storage: Ensure all stock is stored according to the company’s quality procedures, including FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) practices.
- Record keeping: Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records to support seamless inventory control.
Stock Organization and Control
- Restock shelves: Regularly replenish shelves and maintain organized storage areas.
- Stock rotation: Identify and coordinate the disposal or redistribution of surplus stock.
- Label management: Ensure all inventory is labeled and categorized for easy access.
- Conduct audits: Perform routine stock checks, inventory audits, and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
Order Fulfillment
- Pick and pack orders: Prepare customer orders for delivery to the National Distribution Centre with precision.
- Digitize orders: Use digital tools to track manufacturing and retail work orders.
Hygiene and Orderliness
- Maintain cleanliness: Ensure the storage areas are clean and orderly to meet organizational standards.
