The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council, known as KMPDC, is a legally recognized entity established under Section 3 of the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act (CAP 253 Laws of Kenya). KMPDC is entrusted with the pivotal role of overseeing and regulating medical, dental, and community oral health training and practice throughout Kenya. Moreover, the Council’s mandate extends to the regulation of all healthcare facilities within the nation. KMPDC is further classified by the State Corporations Advisory Committee (SCAC) as a ‘Regulatory State Corporation’ under Category PC 6A.
