Job Summary

Vilcom Communications, a leading telecommunications service provider in Kenya, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented TeleSales Officer to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales through telemarketing and outbound calling to potential customers. Your primary goal will be to generate new business opportunities and close sales by effectively communicating the benefits of our products and services. If you have a strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, this role is for you.


Key Responsibilities

1. Outbound Sales Calls

  • Conduct outbound sales calls to potential customers, focusing on promoting Vilcom Communications‘ range of telecommunications services.
  • Utilize persuasive communication techniques to influence and convert leads into paying customers.

2. Sales Target Achievement

  • Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to maximize sales and revenue growth.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential customers through regular follow-ups and personalized communication.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and objections with professionalism and persistence.

4. Product Knowledge

  • Stay updated on Vilcom Communications’ product offerings, including new services, features, and promotions.
  • Effectively communicate the benefits and advantages of our products to customers, tailoring the message to meet their specific needs.

5. Sales Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-up actions in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance and market feedback to the management team.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Educational Background

  • A degree or diploma in business or a related field is required.

2. Relevant Experience

  • Proven experience in telemarketing, telesales, or an outbound call center environment is essential.
  • Experience in the telecommunications or ISP industry is a plus.

3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional phone manner.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and effectively with a wide range of customers.

4. Sales Acumen

  • Strong sales acumen with the ability to influence and persuade prospects.
  • Resilience and persistence in overcoming objections and handling rejection.

5. Target-Driven Mindset

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
