As part of our growth and expansion, we are seeking to hire an experienced and passionate Sales Specialist to join our team.


Job Summary

As a Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in driving sales performance and building strong relationships with our customers. Your primary goal will be to increase sales of our ceramic tile products by understanding customer needs and positioning our offerings effectively. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of Kenya’s largest ceramic tile manufacturer.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize Sales Performance: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company’s ceramic tile products and offerings, positioning them effectively to potential customers.
  • Customer Service: Commit to providing excellent customer service, generating leads, and addressing customer inquiries professionally.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain awareness of client needs and lifestyle preferences to recommend the most suitable products.
  • Lead Generation: Use effective communication skills to generate leads, and manage customer follow-up efficiently.
  • Sales Strategy Implementation: Work closely with the management team to implement sales strategies, providing input on market conditions and customer feedback.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales performance.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the building materials industry, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Customer Focused: A demonstrated ability to understand client needs and tailor solutions to meet their expectations.
  • Resilience Under Pressure: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
  • Integrity: High level of integrity and professionalism in all aspects of work.
  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues from different departments to achieve common goals.
  • Physical and Mental Health: The ability to handle physical demands and manage stress effectively.

Preferred Skills

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the ceramic tile or building materials industry is highly advantageous.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
  • Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of ceramic tile production processes to better communicate product value to customers.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data and adjust strategies accordingly.
