About ICRHK

ICRHK is a local non-profit organization dedicated to advancing sexual and reproductive health through rigorous research and intervention programs. Our areas of focus include HIV/AIDS, Family Planning, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (RHMNCH), as well as addressing sexual and gender-based violence. Our team consists of experts in public health, clinical services, research, project management, and data analysis.

Position Overview

As a Research Assistant (RA), you will play a vital role in collecting crucial ASRHR-related data. This project requires data collection in Busia (4 positions), Bungoma (4 positions), Homabay (4 positions), and Marsabit (6 positions) Counties. If you’re a highly motivated individual with a penchant for accurate data collection and analysis, we invite you to join us on this meaningful journey. Preference will be given to candidates who are residents of the target Counties.

Position Details

  • Contract Period: Short-term contract for 3 months

Required Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in a relevant health discipline, including social sciences or equivalent
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing qualitative data through methods such as focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, and key informant interviews

Competencies and Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with qualitative software like Dedoose, NVIVO, or Atlas ti
  • Independent and effective work style
  • Ability to engage with study participants in both physical and virtual settings
  • Proficiency in electronic data collection tools is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional writing skills
  • Experience in setting up and managing Zoom meetings

Specific Requirements

  • Applicants must be residents of the Counties of data collection (Homabay, Busia, Bungoma, and Marsabit)
  • Knowledge of the local language is advantageous
