Job Title: Regional Sales Agent

Reporting to: Senior Marketing Officer
Department: Marketing & Business Development
Location: Various Regions

Terms of Contract: Six (6) months contract, renewable based on satisfactory performance

Position Summary

As a Regional Sales Agent, you will be instrumental in expanding Kimisitu Sacco’s membership base. Your role will involve recruiting new members and effectively presenting, promoting, and selling our products and services. You will be responsible for driving growth in clientele, share capital, and deposit contributions within your designated region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify New Sales Prospects: Discover and follow up on leads and referrals to find potential new members.
  • Conduct Sales Activation Drives: Organize and execute sales activation campaigns within your assigned area.
  • Recruit New Members: Enroll new members while ensuring adherence to due diligence and KYC policies.
  • Manage Member Accounts: Ensure that new member accounts are fully funded and active.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed sales goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Participate in Marketing Events: Engage in sales and marketing events, outreach activities, and community events.
  • Disseminate Information: Educate both current and prospective members about our savings, loans, and services, and promote cross-selling opportunities.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop and sustain strong relationships with members to drive demand for Kimisitu Sacco’s product portfolio.
  • Prepare Sales Reports: Compile and submit periodic sales reports for review and assist in implementing business growth strategies.
  • Make Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations to potential Sacco customers.
  • Perform Additional Duties: Execute other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Co-operative Management, Business Administration/Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in sales, marketing, or business development.
  • Skills: Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Integrity: High level of personal integrity and professionalism.
  • Team Player: Effective collaboration with team members and other departments.

  • External Contacts: Existing and potential members, member organizations, and partners.

  • Kiambu: Thika
  • Kajiado: Ngong
  • Machakos: Machakos Town
  • Western & Nyanza: Kisumu, Kakamega, Migori, Kisii
  • Nakuru: Nakuru Town
  • Eldoret: Eldoret Town
  • North-Eastern: Kakuma, Lodwar, Dadaab
