Job Responsibilities

As an Investment Advisor, you will:

  • Sell Investment Products: Promote unit trust funds, wealth management, and international/offshore funds to both prospective and existing clients.
  • Client Management: Sign-in, manage, and retain clients, maintaining strong customer service and relationships.
  • Target Achievement: Meet and exceed aggressive sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Market Analysis: Stay updated on local, regional, and global market developments, and identify investment opportunities.
  • Risk Assessment: Understand client risk and return profiles, provide suitable investment solutions, and ensure periodic portfolio reviews.
  • Product Knowledge: Explain key risks and features of investment products to clients, ensuring they are informed post-sales.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Background: An undergraduate degree from a recognized university.
  • Sales and Marketing Training: Appropriate qualifications or training in sales and marketing.
  • Financial Services Experience: Previous experience in the financial services sector (e.g., banking, insurance, fund management, stock brokerage) is advantageous.
  • Proven Sales Success: Demonstrated success in selling financial services products, especially unit trust investments.
  • Financial Markets Knowledge: A solid understanding of financial markets and products.
  • Sales Drive: A high sales drive and a strong will to succeed.
  • Communication Skills: Confident, articulate, and strong communication skills.
  • Results-Oriented: Ability to work under strict deadlines and meet sales targets.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Well-groomed, presentable, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Networking Ability: Highly networked and adept at connecting with people, with good experience in the business environment of the preferred region.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.
