About TICAH

TICAH is a feminist cultural organization focused on promoting holistic health and community action. Our mission is to address the root causes of systemic discrimination, foster fundamental freedoms, and support marginalized communities in achieving holistic health. We believe in the power of indigenous knowledge of medicine, which has provided communities with natural and effective healthcare choices for generations. Through advocacy and action, we promote an environment where traditional medicine thrives, helping communities maintain their health and well-being.

TICAH’s dedicated team of 32 members has touched the lives of over 120,000 individuals, enhancing their knowledge, agency, and access to health services and rights. In addition to this, we manage the MAMA Network, a coalition of 35+ grassroots organizations across 23 African countries dedicated to promoting sexual and reproductive health (SRH) rights.
