Position Overview:

  • Job Title: Assistant Accountant (Health Centre)
  • Locations: Nairobi & Eldoret Regions
  • Reporting To: Health Centre Manager

The Assistant Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the Outpatient Centre. This position is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Revenue Reconciliation: Conduct daily revenue reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare regular business financial reports that provide insights into the financial performance of the health centre.
  • Budgeting and Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial statements, and records to support effective financial management.
  • Cash Transaction Verification: Verify cash transactions in the system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Stock Management: Participate in stock take processes at the health centres according to established guidelines, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Invoice Management: Generate and dispatch invoices for services rendered to the Credit Control department on a daily basis.
  • Petty Cash Management: Manage and account for petty cash requisitions and expenditures in line with petty cash management procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized university.
  • Professional Qualification: CPA Intermediate Level.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in a busy healthcare setup.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the use of an accounting system and ICT tools.
