Job Summary

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals to fill several key positions at our new Mombasa branch. The roles available include Baristas, Commis Chefs, Senior Chefs (Head Chefs and Sous Chefs), Waiters/Waitresses, Food Pickup Staff, Bakers, Stewards, Hostesses, and Supervisors. As part of the Café Javas team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of service and quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Baristas

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages with precision and flair.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station.
• Engage with customers, providing a welcoming atmosphere.

2. Commis Chefs

• Assist senior chefs in preparing ingredients and executing menu items.
• Maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen.
• Contribute to menu development with creative ideas.

3. Senior Chefs (Head Chefs and Sous Chefs)

• Lead the kitchen team in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes.
• Manage kitchen operations, including inventory and staff supervision.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and food safety.

4. Waiters/Waitresses

• Provide excellent customer service, taking orders and serving food and beverages.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.

5. Food Pickup Staff

• Ensure timely delivery of food orders to the correct tables.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff for efficient workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness in the food pickup area.

6. Bakers

• Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
• Maintain consistency in product quality and presentation.
• Manage inventory of baking supplies.

7. Stewards

• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist in dishwashing and waste disposal.
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks.

8. Hostesses

• Greet and seat customers, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage reservations and coordinate seating arrangements.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant.

9. Supervisors

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Manage and motivate staff, providing training and support.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues.
