Are you passionate about fostering a safe space for adolescents and youth to access essential services? Join us at the Dandora Youth Friendly Centre (YFC) as a Youth Clinic Manager! This one-year contract role, with a six-month probationary period, offers a dynamic opportunity to lead and coordinate activities aligned with MSF principles and national guidelines for Adolescents and Youth Friendly Services (AYFS). Position Details

Location: Dandora, Nairobi

Contract Duration: 1 year (extendable based on performance)

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Coordination

  • Actively identify needs within the catchment area and strategize medical and social activities.
  • Supervise all Youth Friendly Centre activities, both within and outside the center.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify indicators for monitoring results and achievements.
  • Ensure adherence to youth-friendly service principles and national guidelines for AYFS.

Community Engagement

  • Promote a participatory approach within the youth community.
  • Collaborate with partners for holistic services and identify opportunities for synergies.

HR/Fin Procedures

  • Supervise HR/Fin procedures, including recruitment, training, evaluation, and internal communication.
  • Collaborate with other MSF managers, attend fortnightly manager’s meetings, and contribute to monthly reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • University degree in social sciences, social communication, health promotion, or related fields.

Experience:

  • 4 years of prior work experience in health promotion, project coordination, or social research.
  • Desirable: 2 years of experience in youth/community participatory programs.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English and Swahili
