About the Role:
One Acre Fund has secured a significant grant to enhance our climate programs and support dignified youth livelihoods over the next five years. This grant will play a crucial role in shaping our future strategic direction and will create several new opportunities for impactful work. As a Youth and Climate Partnerships Associate, you will work closely with the grant manager to ensure the successful implementation of grant activities, including report writing and coordination with various teams within the organization and external partners. You will report directly to the Youth and Climate Partnerships Lead on the Global Business Development and Partnerships Team.
Responsibilities:
Report Writing and Coordination:
- Lead the design and drafting of quarterly grant progress reports through collaboration with the Business Development team, organizational leaders, and grant partners.
- Support overall project management by creating and updating workflows and matrices of responsibilities for multiple grant work streams.
- Coordinate donor site visits (up to 2-3 times per year).
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with program leads to establish systems for setting and tracking project milestones.
- Prepare and lead program team update meetings to evaluate progress against milestones and gather data for grant reports.
Project Strategy and Implementation:
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to drive systems-level improvements in youth engagement and climate resilience across the organization.
- Collaborate with internal and external Monitoring/Evaluation/Learning teams to measure and enhance program impact on youth and women.
- Monitor potential risks and project implementation challenges, working with project staff and partners to find solutions.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess:
- 3 to 5+ years of work experience, preferably at a dynamic organization in one of our countries of operations.
- Strong writing skills and experience in coordinating teams to accomplish complex projects.
- Proficiency in developing Word forms/templates and maintaining complex spreadsheets in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Background in agriculture, youth programming, rural development, project management, grant writing, grant management, or communications.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Job Location: Flexible – Kigali, Rwanda; Nairobi, Kenya; or Burundi, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Malawi, Zambia, Europe (Nairobi only available to candidates with existing right to work in Kenya)

Eligibility: One Acre Fund can support a work permit for this role. However, nationals of our countries of operation or those with extensive professional backgrounds and work history in these countries are preferred.
