Introduction

Taita Hills & Salt Lick Wildlife Resort Ltd. is seeking a skilled and proactive Workshop Manager to join our team and lead workshop operations. Located in one of Kenya’s most scenic regions, our resort prides itself on delivering exceptional experiences to guests, and the Workshop Manager will play a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency behind the scenes. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise with leadership in a dynamic and supportive work environment.

As a Workshop Manager, you will manage workshop operations, supervise staff, and ensure timely project completion while upholding the highest safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Workshop Operations: Plan, coordinate, and manage day-to-day workshop activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and mentor workshop staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of all workshop activities, inventory, and staff assignments.
  • Project Management: Ensure timely completion of all projects and assignments within the workshop.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a hazard-free working environment.
  • Preventive Measures: Identify recurring operational issues and introduce preventive measures to avoid future problems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operational integration.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a similar role, preferably within a hospitality or logistics setting.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Familiarity with workshop tools, machinery, and processes.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to analyze and resolve operational challenges efficiently.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead a diverse team effectively.
