Position Overview:
As Workshop & Maintenance Manager, you will be at the helm of workshop operations, driving quality repairs and maintaining a “right first-time” approach. Your leadership will be instrumental in optimizing processes, fostering teamwork, and ensuring a culture of accountability on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a busy automotive workshop, overseeing day-to-day tasks and ensuring efficient operations.
- Ensure high-quality repairs by implementing best practices and maintaining strict adherence to standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement measures to enhance workshop efficiency.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and accountability among workshop staff, promoting collaboration and mutual support.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, including fire safety, first aid, and site safety protocols.
- Utilize analytical skills to assess workshop performance and generate insightful reports for management review.

- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for effective communication and documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a large and busy automotive workshop.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including vehicle layout, function, and part locations.
- Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues, managing warranties, and overseeing general repairs.
- Excellent supervisory skills with a proven ability to lead and develop teams.
- Demonstrated competence in workplace safety practices and relevant certifications (e.g., fire marshal, first aid).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite for data analysis and report writing.
