Job Summary

As a Driver at Lipton, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods, employees, and other essential items. You will be responsible for the regular inspection and maintenance of the vehicle, adherence to traffic laws, and providing excellent customer care. This position requires a highly skilled individual with a strong commitment to safety and compliance with company policies.


Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection

  • Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Report any mechanical issues or damages to the vehicle promptly.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is in a good serviceable condition at all times.

Compliance with Safety and Traffic Laws

  • Ensure adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Comply with the company’s Safe Travel policies and other relevant safety standards.
  • Carry out pre-driving inspections to ensure the vehicle meets safety requirements.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records such as work tickets, authority sheets, and tare weights.
  • Document all trips and any issues encountered during the journey.
  • Ensure that all required documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.

Emergency Handling

  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or accidents, ensuring the safety of all passengers and goods.
  • Follow the company’s emergency protocols and report incidents immediately.

Customer Care

  • Maintain good relations with all stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience for clients and passengers.
  • Represent the company professionally, adhering to the corporate code of conduct and other company policies.

Additional Duties

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management from time to time.
  • Assist in loading and unloading goods when required.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on safety and driving regulations.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Multiskilled Driver with a valid Class B.C.E.G license.
  • Trained on defensive driving techniques and safety regulations.
  • General knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Salary Information

Salary Range: Ksh 30,000 – Ksh 40,000 per month
Bonus Opportunities: Performance-based bonuses available
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts as needed
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
