Role Overview
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing construction equipment and materials, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy and organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving Goods: Unload and inspect incoming shipments of construction equipment and materials.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and update inventory management systems.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and dispatch orders to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Warehouse Organization: Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and complies with safety standards.
- Stock Control: Conduct regular stock counts and audits to verify inventory accuracy.
- Customer Service: Assist customers with inquiries and provide excellent customer support.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in construction equipment warehousing.
- Education: Diploma or degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
Preferred Skills
- Certification: Professional certification in warehousing or logistics is an added advantage.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
