Job Summary
As a Waiter at Thika Sports Club, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our guests receive prompt, professional, and courteous service at all times. You will be responsible for presenting menus, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome Guests: Provide a warm and friendly welcome to all members and guests upon arrival.
- Present Menus: Offer detailed information about our menu, including food portions, ingredients, and any daily specials.
- Set Up Tables: Prepare tables by setting up linens, glasses, and silverware to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Upsell Menu Items: Utilize good upselling skills to recommend menu items and special promotions to guests.
- Serve Food and Beverages: Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring continuous clearance after service.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the dining area clean and organized, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any guest concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
- Grooming Standards: Maintain good grooming and hygiene standards to present a professional appearance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Requirements: Diploma in Hospitality Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a busy restaurant or hotel. Prior experience in a private members club is an added advantage.
- Skills: Ability to read, write, and execute basic math skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
