Job Description
As a Barista at Mercure Nairobi Upper Hill, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our guests. Your responsibilities will include:
Guest Services
- Welcome Guests: Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Escort to Rooms: Assist guests to their rooms, explaining room and hotel facilities.
- Continuous Contact: Maintain regular contact with guests to address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Promotions and Events: Stay informed about hotel promotions, VIP arrivals, and upcoming events.
Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and Serve Beverages: Follow recipes and service standards to prepare beverages.
- Product Knowledge: Stay knowledgeable about all bar products and upsell to customers.
- Mise-en-Place: Prepare mise-en-place and perform side duties as required.
- Requisitions: Collect general requisitions and food and beverage requisitions.
- Garnishes: Prepare garnishes and ensure a thorough understanding of all beverage items.
Service Standards
- Professional Service: Provide high personalized standards of quality and efficient, friendly service.
- Appearance and Hygiene: Report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and name tag, and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
