Job Summary

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for nurturing talent and driving results? Liberty Life is seeking a Unit Leader to join our team in Thika, Embu, Nanyuki, Meru, Naivasha, or Kitui. In this role, you’ll be responsible for recruiting, coaching, and managing a high-performance team of Sales Agents, all while upholding Liberty Life’s commitment to ethical business practices and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Training: Lead the recruitment, training, and supervision of Agents within Liberty Life, ensuring they are equipped to solicit and submit applications for insurance and annuity products.

Coaching and Mentoring: Provide ongoing training and development to Agents under your unit, coaching them to achieve high performance and excellence.

Talent Management: Identify and nurture talent and high performers within the unit, fostering a culture of growth and success.

Goal Setting and Performance Evaluation: Assist Agents in setting and evaluating goals, ensuring alignment with production targets and continuous improvement.

Client Base Management: Establish and maintain a strong client base and leads for Agents within the unit, driving market dominance and sustainable business relationships.

Market Dominance Strategy: Implement market dominance strategies by building and nurturing relationships with Employer Markets for the distribution of Liberty Life products.

Specification

To be considered for the role of Unit Leader, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Possession of a Certificate of Proficiency (COP) or completion of any other insurance professional qualification.
  • Valid IRA Licence for the current year.
  • Completed an Academic Diploma or Diploma in Insurance.
  • Proven track record of at least 3 years in a financial institution or insurance company, demonstrating good performance and ethical business practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring teams is preferred.
  • Prior experience in leading a sales team within the insurance industry is an added advantage.
