To continue our growth and commitment to excellence, we are urgently seeking a qualified Truck Driver to join our team.


Job Summary

As a Truck Driver at Keda (Kenya) Ceramics Company, you will play a crucial role in the transportation of goods to and from various destinations. This position requires a dedicated professional with at least two years of driving experience who is committed to safety and compliance with industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to:

Transportation Duties

  • Transport goods to and from destinations, ensuring safe loading and delivery.
  • Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and minimize delays.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Report defects, accidents, and violations immediately.

Vehicle Maintenance

  • Ensure any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks such as refueling and cleaning the truck.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Comply with all truck driving rules and regulations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by department heads.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualifications

  • College/Diploma in a relevant field.
  • Plant machine operation certificate is preferred.

Experience

  • A minimum of two years of experience in driving, preferably in a commercial setting.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent driving skills and a proven track record of safe driving.
  • Good written and fluent oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to handle a crane is an added advantage.
  • A valid driving license of class G is required.
  • Truck driver’s license for trucks over 7500 kgs is MANDATORY, as the truck weighs 15,700 kgs.
