Key Purpose Statement
The Truck Driver assumes a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of stock between CCBA manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and valued customers. Reporting to the Driver Team Leader, this position upholds the highest standards of operational efficiency and professionalism.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Bulk Stock Hauling: Efficient transportation of bulk stock (Primary Distribution) between Manufacturing Plants and Distribution Centers/Local Distribution Partners and OCCD’s.
- Stock Delivery: Timely delivery of stock (Secondary Distribution) to Direct Delivery customers and OCCD’s.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provision of professional and efficient customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Document Management: Compilation and verification of necessary invoicing to ensure accuracy and completeness of delivery documents.
- Asset Accountability: Taking full ownership and accountability of the allocated truck, mobile device, stock, and pallets therein.
- Invoice Coordination: Coordinating and processing customer invoices with precision and attention to detail.
- Inventory Control: Conducting daily stock counts accurately and promptly to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Security Compliance: Adherence to rigorous security checks and procedures to safeguard assets and uphold safety standards.
- Team Supervision: Management and supervision of the crew assigned to the truck to ensure seamless operations.
Skills, Experience & Education
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Form 4 Certificate (KCSE)
- Valid and applicable driver’s license
- Valid Professional Driver’s Permit (Country Specific)
- Willingness to work fixed shifts at specific times/days of the week
EXPERIENCE:
- Prior distribution driving experience
