This position requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for various duties outlined below.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Documentation and Record Keeping:
    • Ensure thorough documentation of all transport trips.
    • Maintain accurate records of driving-related activities, including mileage, gas receipts, and delivery documentation.
  2. Vehicle Maintenance and Safety:
    • Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and security of the organization’s vehicle at all times.
    • Perform simple vehicle maintenance, including cleaning, inspections, and filling tires with air.
    • Conduct regular service checks on tire pressure, oil, and fluid levels, as well as minor repairs when required.
  3. Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with traffic regulations and CHS travel and HR policies.
    • Adhere to federal and state trucking rules and regulations, including mandatory rest periods and weight restrictions.
  4. Delivery Operations:
    • Safely deliver freight to various locations, planning efficient routes for on-time deliveries.
