Key Responsibilities

As a Tour Consultant Intern at Bobu Africa, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our clients have the best travel experiences possible. Your responsibilities will include:

• Training for Tour Arrangements: You will receive comprehensive training on our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring that you are well-equipped to handle tour arrangements efficiently.
• Product Knowledge Development: You will be responsible for building your product knowledge of various African destinations. This will enable you to develop quality itineraries that meet the diverse needs of our clients.
• Collaborative Teamwork: You will work closely with fellow team members to ensure a smooth and seamless client experience from start to finish.
• Exceptional Customer Service: You will be at the forefront of providing excellent customer service. Developing strong relationships with clients is key to ensuring that Bobu Africa remains their preferred choice for future travel plans.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should bring the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, Wildlife, Zoology, or a relevant Tourism major.
• A minimum of 3 months of experience in the Tour Industry within a Tour Company, focusing on Reservation, Sales, or Operation roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a strong willingness to learn and a good sense of customer service.
• Basic product knowledge of African destinations and tour product development is required.
• Computer proficiency with a good understanding of Microsoft Windows, Office, and other relevant software.
• Strong organizational, time management, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this role.
• Additional foreign language expertise is a bonus, enhancing your ability to cater to a diverse client base.
