Position: Temporary Assistant – ICT Service Desk Reports to: Senior Officer, ICT Infrastructure Contract Period: 6 Months

Key Responsibilities:

  1. First Line Support: Be the front line of support, managing our IT help desk, and promptly responding to user assistance requests.
  2. Hardware Wizardry: Install and configure computers, monitor and network equipment, and peripherals like printers and scanners.
  3. User Account Management: Handle user account creation for various systems efficiently.
  4. Troubleshooting Pro: Diagnose and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, network, and peripheral issues. Undertake necessary repairs and corrections.
  5. Application Guru: Assist users in resolving problems related to applications, equipment, and data.
  6. Connectivity Maestro: Tackle hardware, software, and connectivity problems head-on. This includes managing user access and component configuration.
  7. Vendor Relations: Manage hardware warranties and liaise with vendors for swift issue resolution.
  8. Inventory Management: Maintain documentation of computer equipment inventory and ensure it’s up to date.
  9. Data Keeper: Record and manage hardware and software inventories, site/server licensing, and user access and security.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or its equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience in ICT end-user support (advantageous).
  • Professional certification in any ICT-related course (preferred).
