WHAT YOU’LL DO

We’re seeking dedicated, analytical individuals to join our Sourcing & Purchasing team. Your passion will lie in cultivating relationships with a diverse network of suppliers, whether they’re established partners or fresh faces. You’ll excel at maintaining meticulously organized sourcing records, ensuring all suppliers’ information is current and accurate. Your role will encompass coordinating the procurement process for a range of raw and non-raw materials, acquiring goods of exceptional quality at optimal prices while effectively managing inventory levels. Crucially, your enthusiasm for assuming increased responsibilities and advancing your professional journey within our team will drive your success.

THE ROLE IN BRIEF

Sourcing & Purchasing:

  • Support on research and sourcing for new suppliers for assigned SKUs.
  • Maintain up-to-date sourcing lists.
  • Vet and onboard new suppliers.
  • Support on sourcing and manage the purchasing process of all assigned raw material and non-raw material items.
  • Purchase goods as assigned, at the right quality at the best price while balancing inventory levels.
  • Reconcile all quality, payment, and order quantity variances for purchases within your scope and within agreed timeline.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are carried out in line with set pre-order, on order and post order processes.
  • Support on creation and management of purchase plans for assigned SKUs.
  • Ensure timely supplier payments as well as support the finance team on supplier accounts reconciliation as and when needed.

Documentation:

  • Maintain up-to-date approved supplier lists.
  • Create and maintain a filing system of all procurement documents under your responsibility.
  • Develop, manage and negotiate supplier contracts.
  • Maintain up-to-date reporting dashboards and google sheets across your area of responsibility.

Relationship Management:

Manage supplier relationships through:

  • Performance management: Setting and review of appropriate KPIs.
  • Sustainability: Innovating with suppliers to maximize the value of purchases.
  • Feedback and improvement: Collaborate with suppliers to solve order problems, identify and manage risk.
  • Identify, build and manage strong relationships with all external and internal stakeholders.

 

Other duties:

  • Lead and support cross-functional and departmental projects as allocated.
  • Collaborate with departments internally to identify improvement opportunities for existing products as regards price and quality, as well as discuss opportunities new products.
  • Periodic reviews and analysis of all vendors to identify better pricing and quality improvements opportunities.
  • Keep up-to-date, and apply within your scope of work, the news within the procurement environment.
  • Identify, manage and escalate risk within your area of responsibility to ensure smooth flow of processes at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned.
