Job Title: Supply Chain Intern
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Supply Chain Intern to join our dynamic team in Nairobi. As a Supply Chain Intern, you will support various procurement and logistics activities, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.

Responsibilities
- Assist in Sourcing Activities: Support the Procurement Officer in identifying potential suppliers, obtaining quotes, and conducting market research to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Preparing Requests for Quotations/Proposals: Prepare and submit RFQs and RFPs to suppliers.
- Purchase Order Management: Create and track purchase orders through our procurement system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, reconcile discrepancies, and coordinate with stakeholders to replenish supplies.
- Supplier Communication: Maintain communication with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and foster positive relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Organize records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and correspondence.
- Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Data Analysis: Analyze supply chain data, generate reports, and support demand forecasting to ensure product availability.
- Support Logistics Management: Assist with logistics and transportation coordination, including tracking and documentation.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree program in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Professional Membership: Membership of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management or relevant professional body is an added advantage.
- Academic Achievement: Must have achieved at least a Minimum B Grade in high school.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
