Job Summary:

As a Supply Chain Assistant at Plantech Kenya Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of operations within our supply chain. You will be responsible for various tasks, including production planning, order management, customer liaison, and administrative duties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our operations while gaining valuable experience in the horticultural industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning: Collaborate with relevant departments to develop comprehensive production plans.
  • Order Management: Receive, update, and manage orders while ensuring the quality of cuttings at intake.
  • Customer Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and the marketing department, addressing inquiries and providing timely updates.
  • Supply Program Preparation: Assist in the preparation of supply programs to meet customer demands efficiently.
  • Stock Management: Oversee stock levels, conduct follow-ups on dispatches, and maintain accurate records.
  • Mother Stock Planning: Develop annual and short-cycle crop plans for mother stock and maintain greenhouse layouts.
  • Report and Invoice Preparation: Generate reports and invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • General Administration: Perform various administrative tasks to support smooth operations within the supply chain.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent Communication and Written Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  2. Formal Training: Applicants must have completed formal training relevant to the role.
  3. Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in propagation or a related field is required.
