We are hiring for the following positions:

  1. Sous Chef
  2. Chef (Continental Cuisine)
  3. Chef (Indian Cuisine)

Each role will involve working closely with the culinary team, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and enhancing the overall dining experience through menu innovation and preparation of high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Development: Assist in designing and implementing menus that reflect the high standards of Sun N Sand Beach Resort, particularly with a focus on seafood preparation and diverse cuisine offerings.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide effective leadership to the kitchen staff, ensuring all team members meet performance expectations and adhere to food safety regulations.
  • Culinary Execution: Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes in accordance with established standards, focusing on quality, taste, and customer satisfaction.
  • Food Safety Compliance: Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and sanitation practices, ensuring that all kitchen activities comply with local and international food safety laws.
  • Inventory and Cost Control: Manage kitchen supplies, monitor inventory levels, and ensure efficient use of ingredients to control costs and reduce waste.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts: A professional qualification in Culinary Arts, Culinary Management, or a related field is essential.
  • 3+ Years of Experience: A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a resort or large-scale hospitality setting.
  • Expertise in Seafood Preparation: Demonstrated experience in the preparation of various seafood dishes, ensuring that ingredients are fresh and meals are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Menu Development Skills: Proven ability to create and refine diverse menus that align with the culinary vision of the resort.
  • Strong Leadership Abilities: Experience managing kitchen teams, ensuring that staff work cohesively and adhere to all operational procedures.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Standards: Familiarity with HACCP and other food safety standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Specialization in Continental or Indian Cuisine: For candidates applying for the Chef (Continental) or Chef (Indian Cuisine) positions, specific expertise in these areas is highly desirable.
  • Resort Experience: Prior experience working in a luxury resort environment is a significant advantage, as it demonstrates an understanding of high service standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to make quick decisions, especially in high-pressure environments, to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to food preparation, presentation, and cleanliness.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with other departments such as service staff and event planning teams.
