We are currently seeking a seasoned and strategic Store/Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. This role is critical to ensuring that our supply chain is efficient, secure, and optimized for peak performance.


Job Summary

As the Store/Warehouse Manager at Classic Mouldings Limited, you will be responsible for the overall management of our warehouse operations. This includes inventory control, stock level management, supply chain coordination, and supplier relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to optimize inventory control procedures.


Key Responsibilities

1. Optimize Inventory Control Procedures

  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Create and implement strategies to enhance inventory control and management.
  • Track Stock Levels: Ensure protocols are in place to accurately track stock levels, mitigate loss, and maintain product integrity.
  • Inventory Audits: Conduct regular audits to ensure that inventory levels are accurate and that all products are accounted for.

2. Stock Level Management

  • Monitor Stock Levels: Regularly inspect stock levels of business supplies and raw materials, identifying and addressing potential shortages.
  • Align Stock with Demand: Ensure adequate product availability across all distribution channels, aligning stock levels with customer demand.
  • Order Replenishment: Place orders to replenish stock, balancing between avoiding shortages and preventing excessive surplus.

3. Inventory Tracking and Reconciliation

  • Daily Record Keeping: Record and reconcile daily deliveries and shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in inventory documentation.
  • Advanced Inventory Management: Use advanced inventory management software (e.g., SAGE 300 ERP) to monitor demand, track inventory characteristics, and generate detailed reports.
  • Inventory Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile physical stock with system records to identify discrepancies and address them promptly.

4. Supply Chain Coordination

  • Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure smooth and timely supply chain operations.
  • Analyze Inventory Data: Use inventory data to anticipate future needs and ensure the organization is prepared for fluctuations in demand.
  • Optimize Stock Levels: Balance stock levels to avoid both shortages and overstock, ensuring that inventory is always aligned with business needs.

5. Supplier Evaluation and Relationship Management

  • Evaluate Suppliers: Continuously evaluate suppliers to secure cost-effective deals while maintaining strong and trustworthy relationships.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, minimizing delays and disruptions.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure that terms are favorable to the company while maintaining high standards of quality.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work with Teams: Collaborate closely with warehouse employees, sales, and marketing teams to ensure that business goals are met and inventory aligns with sales projections.
  • Report to Management: Report to upper management on stock levels, inventory issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with Sales: Ensure that inventory levels are aligned with sales forecasts to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.

7. Risk Mitigation and Compliance

  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Identify potential risks within the inventory process and discreetly implement measures to mitigate these risks.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all inventory activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Implement Safety Protocols: Establish and enforce safety protocols to protect both the inventory and the employees handling it.

Requirements and Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management, Warehousing, or Construction Management is required.

Experience

  • 5-7 Years of proven experience as an Inventory/Warehouse Manager or in a similar position within a large-scale warehouse operation with more than 3000 SKUs.

Technical Expertise

  • Proficiency in Data Analysis: Must be proficient in data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Inventory Management Software: Working knowledge of inventory management software, with SAGE experience as an added advantage.

Organizational Skills

  • Exceptional Organizational and Planning Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Must possess strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Communication

  • Outstanding Communication and Interpersonal Abilities: Capable of collaborating across departments and with external partners.

Integrity

  • Reliability and Trustworthiness: Strong commitment to maintaining ethical standards in inventory management.

Role Overview

As the Store/Warehouse Manager at Classic Mouldings Limited, you will play a critical role in managing the flow of products through our warehouse, from ordering and storage to distribution. Your responsibilities will include optimizing inventory control procedures, collaborating with various departments, and identifying and mitigating risks within the inventory process. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, as well as maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
