Job Description

Scope of the Role

As a Spa Therapist, you will assist the Head Therapist in maintaining the spa facilities, ensuring high-quality service to guests, and training spa employees to achieve excellent standards. You will also conduct therapy treatments and help/train therapists to perform these treatments effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Massage and Treatments: Provide massage and therapy treatments while ensuring the client’s comfort at all times.
• Guest Service Excellence: Ensure individualized guest service by acknowledging and responding to their needs and expectations.
• Active Participation: Engage in other areas of the spa operation, such as body treatments, product knowledge, and retail sales.
• Operational Compliance: Ensure spa operations follow standard operating procedures (SOP) guidelines and regulations.
• Customer Handling: Address customer complaints and therapy queries effectively.
• Upselling Services: Actively promote and upsell all appropriate spa, retail, and fitness services to guests.
• Inventory Management: Control stock and inventory for therapy products and spa consumables.
• Rebooking Clients: Confidently recommend and rebook additional treatments for guests whenever possible.
• Spa Tours: Assist Spa Receptionists with spa tours as needed.
• Marketing and Promotions: Support Spa Management with marketing and promotional activities when required.
• Stock Control: Assist the Head Therapist with stock care and control.
• Guest Relations: Support Receptionists with guest-related work when necessary.
• Product Usage Control: Manage the usage of spa products effectively.
• Therapist Checklist: Responsible for completing the AM & PM Therapist checklist.
• Training Participation: Be present at trainings and participate actively.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience as a Massage Therapist, preferably in a 5-star hotel property.
• Certification: Certification from an accredited school of Massage, Body, and Beauty required; certification in Aesthetics desired.
• Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; proactive in ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Collaborative: Ability to build rapport with clients and work collaboratively with the team.
