Job Summary

As a Social Media Manager at Surakids, you will be responsible for managing and executing social media strategies that align with our brand’s objectives. You will work closely with the marketing team to create engaging content, monitor social media channels, and drive online engagement. This role involves graphic design, photo and video editing, and administrative tasks. You must also be available to attend and cover events, providing real-time content creation on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Manage social media accounts across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop and implement effective social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, audience insights, and feedback.
  • Analyze performance metrics to optimize content and improve social media strategies.

Content Creation

  • Design visually appealing graphics and visuals that align with the Surakids brand.
  • Create and edit videos for social media posts, stories, and other digital platforms.
  • Craft compelling and engaging captions, posts, and updates to drive engagement.
  • Develop a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and content diversity.

Event Coverage

  • Attend company events and capture photos and videos for real-time posting.
  • Create live updates during events, including live tweets, Instagram stories, and Facebook updates.
  • Engage with event participants and attendees through social media interactions.

Graphic Design and Video Editing

  • Use design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva to create high-quality images and videos.
  • Edit photos and videos to enhance quality and visual appeal.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all visual content.

Administrative Tasks

  • Manage social media content approval processes.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure cohesive messaging.
  • Respond to inquiries and messages on social media platforms promptly.
  • Organize and maintain digital assets, including photos and videos.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Self-driven and proactive individual capable of working independently.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and current trends.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva.
  • Experience in video editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in social media management is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Background in content creation and digital marketing.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
