Job Title: Shop Assistant – Nairobi, Kenya

Job Overview

We are hiring Shop Assistants to join our dynamic team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store, and ensuring that our inventory is well-managed. You will be responsible for managing stock, balancing the till at the end of the day, and assisting customers in finding the right products to meet their needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Assistance: Provide exceptional assistance to customers by helping them find the right products, answering inquiries, and offering product recommendations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage stock levels by keeping accurate records of inventory, ensuring stock is well-organized, and replenishing items as needed.
  • Cash Handling: Balance the till at the end of each shift and ensure that cash transactions are accurate.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment to ensure an enjoyable shopping experience for customers.
  • Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to meet daily and monthly sales targets.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest products and trends in men’s fashion to provide informed recommendations to customers.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in Men’s Fashion: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a retail environment specializing in men’s fashion.
  • Customer Service Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and ensure their needs are met.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail when managing inventory, restocking products, and handling cash.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain an organized store layout and ensure the store is visually appealing to customers.
  • Team Player: Work well in a team environment and contribute to achieving sales targets and maintaining store standards.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve customer complaints and handle any issues that may arise in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Time Management: Ability to multitask and manage time effectively, especially during busy periods.

Additional Skills

  • Sales Orientation: Experience in driving sales and meeting sales goals.
  • Point-of-Sale (POS) System Experience: Knowledge of using POS systems to process transactions accurately.
  • Fashion Enthusiasm: A keen interest in the latest fashion trends and an ability to stay current on men’s fashion.

This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya. The store is located in a prime shopping area, offering convenient access to customers and staff.
