Senior FX Dealer – Treasury Department
Key Responsibilities
- Grow FX portfolio by ensuring client retention and acquisition of new clientele.
- Prepare client-meeting plans in coordination with other team members under the respective portfolios, visit them on a regular basis, and prepare visit reports and follow-up actions. Prepare and deliver customer presentations articulately and confidently.
- Identify, target, and market to customers with the aim of growing the portfolio.
- Develop and sustain relationships with clients.
- Ensure a speedy and positive response to all requests from customers for a specific transaction, or for more general advice, or introduction to a more appropriate contact within the bank, whether or not the request is from the specifically allocated group of customers.
- Engage in active dialogue with key clients within respective portfolios to understand their needs and address key issues.
- Monitor daily profit and loss and positions in the trading book, and formulate hedging strategies to manage associated financial risks. Provide monthly performance reports on the portfolio to management and carry out periodical business analysis to ensure sustained profitability and growth of business.
- Prepare and deliver informative and objective market intelligence to customers via research, bulletins, and face-to-face interactions.
- Understand and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Work closely with Treasury back office and Finance departments to ensure accuracy of reports, including client data and business segments, and use the same to proactively drive the Forex sales business.
- In liaison with other teams in the bank, drive the marketing plans for treasury business and ensure feedback received from clients is used internally to drive improvement as well as improvement of client’s loyalty due to better services.

- Knowledge of Financial Market products
- Knowledge of Sales Techniques
- Understanding of banking, interest rates, and foreign exchange markets
- Personable and confident with the ability to converse professionally with clients
- Ability to market and establish lasting client relationships
- First Degree in Business/Commerce
- Minimum 5 Years of Experience
- Experience in sales, service, relationship management, with a proven sales track record in the financial service industry. Understanding of Sharia’s principles and guidelines is a plus.
