Job Summary
As a Senior Accountant at MOGO Kenya, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will coordinate external and tax audits, manage taxation processes, prepare financial statements, and support monthly reporting activities. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health and compliance of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit Coordination: Oversee and coordinate external and tax audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Taxation Management: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the tax framework, ensuring all tax-related activities are handled efficiently.
- Financial Statements: Prepare annual financial statements based on IFRS standards.
- Accounting Accuracy: Review and confirm the accuracy of accounting journals.
- Monthly Reporting: Assist in the preparation of the monthly closing checklist to support timely reporting.
- Efficiency Tools: Apply and manage tools designed to simplify daily accounting tasks and increase operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Certification: Registered member of ICPAK.
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in auditing and taxation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and audit.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
