Key Responsibilities

As a Security Officer with Securex, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring surveillance systems and conducting regular inspections to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
• Patrolling assigned areas and addressing any suspicious activities to prevent security breaches.
• Controlling access points, ensuring that only authorized personnel enter the premises.
• Operating computer-based security systems, including CCTV monitoring and electronic access control systems.
• Responding to emergency situations promptly and efficiently, following established protocols.
• Maintaining detailed records and reports of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches.
• Collaborating with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report and manage any criminal activities.
• Conducting thorough checks to prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Ensuring the security of personnel, visitors, and the facility by enforcing policies and procedures.
• Remaining vigilant and maintaining a strong observational presence at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

To qualify for the Security Officer role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Required Qualifications

• Age Requirements:
  • Males: Between 28-42 years old.
  • Females: Between 26-35 years old.
• Height Requirements:
  • Males: At least 5’9″.
  • Females: At least 5’8″.
• Educational Qualifications:
  • KCSE Minimum Qualification: D+.
  • Must carry original professional certificates, national ID, KCPE, and KCSE certificates.
  • Provide both primary and high school leaving certificates.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in computer-based security systems.
• Excellent observation skills with strong memory retention capabilities.
• Physically fit and capable of handling physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle stressful and emergency situations calmly and effectively.
• Solid literacy and numeracy skills for accurate report writing and documentation.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to following safety and security protocols.
