Job Summary
Phoenix Capital Limited is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Team Leader with a strong background in logbook loans. This role is pivotal in driving sales and managing a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and marketing, specifically in the logbook loan sector, with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Management
- Assist the Sales Manager in developing and executing effective sales strategies to achieve company goals.
- Stay informed of new products and services in the market, ensuring the sales team is well-versed and prepared to sell.
- Delegate tasks and set clear deadlines for sales agents to optimize productivity.
Target Setting and Motivation
- Set monthly sales targets for the team and provide continuous motivation to achieve these goals.
- Prepare detailed sales reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
- Identify and screen potential clients through targeted lead generation efforts.
- Promote and sell company products to prospective clients, focusing on logbook loans.
- Evaluate clients’ risk profiles to ensure alignment with company policies.
- Provide clients with guidance on required documentation and manage expectations throughout the process.
Team Recruitment and Training
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team capable of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, and other key stakeholders.
Customer Service and Compliance
- Ensure client complaints are resolved promptly, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Assist in the collection of non-performing loans as recommended by the company.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring all activities are compliant with regulations.
Other Duties
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Sales Manager to support the overall success of the sales department.
Role Requirements
Experience and Expertise
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a specific focus on logbook loans.
- Proven ability to achieve a minimum sales target of KES 2,500,000/- per month.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a sales team.
Team Leadership
- Must have a pipeline of at least 10 external agents to assist in meeting sales targets.
- Ability to work with targets, ensuring consistent performance and achievement of goals.
Sales Acumen
- Extensive experience in selling logbook loans within leading microfinance institutions.
- A strong understanding of the microfinance sector and its unique challenges and opportunities.
