Job Purpose

As a Sales Representative reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, your role is pivotal in ensuring product availability and fostering strong relationships between the company and its customers. You’ll be instrumental in identifying customer needs, providing effective solutions, facilitating purchases, and building trust to drive sales and contribute to the company’s overall success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising Sales Activities: Oversee direct selling and marketing efforts to drive product awareness and increase sales.
  • Market Expansion: Proactively prospect for new clients and explore untapped markets to expand the customer base.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish targets and closely monitor the performance of different sales routes to ensure objectives are met.
  • Debt Collection: Manage the collection of outstanding debts from customers in a timely manner.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate periodic reports on sales performance, market trends, and debt collection activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address market and customer disputes and complaints promptly and effectively to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Resource Management: Ensure optimal utilization of resources allocated for the designated area of operation.
  • Pricing Strategy: Implement appropriate pricing strategies to maximize profitability and competitiveness in the market.

Qualifications and Person Specifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership in a relevant marketing professional body (e.g., Marketing Society of Kenya) is desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing.
