Sales Executives (Stainless Steel Fabrication & Commercial Equipment) – Nairobi, Kenya

Job Summary

Merican Limited, a leading provider of stainless steel fabrication and commercial food and beverage equipment solutions, is seeking dynamic and driven Sales Executives to join our growing team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in sales and marketing, an ability to build long-term relationships with clients, and a proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-energy environment, promoting top-quality equipment to a range of industries.


Key Responsibilities

Generating Leads and Sales Targets

  • Actively generate new sales leads through cold calling, networking, and site visits.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly sales goals by implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Follow up on all leads and inquiries promptly, ensuring no sales opportunities are missed.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with both existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate client needs and promote Merican’s products and services.
  • Ensure that purchased products are delivered to customers in a timely manner and follow up on any post-sale issues.

Sales Planning and Reporting

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Provide weekly and monthly sales reports to management.
  • Contribute to sales meetings, sharing insights and strategies for overcoming challenges in the current market.

Industry Networking and Exhibitions

  • Actively participate in industry exhibitions and expos to showcase Merican’s offerings.
  • Engage with industry stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to build a strong network.

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Background

  • Degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing or a related field.

Key Competencies

  • Proven ability to drive sales and generate new business.
  • Strong networking skills, with a talent for establishing lasting business relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, essential for closing deals and addressing client needs.
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Tech-savvy, with experience using CRM systems to track sales and manage client data.
  • Previous experience in equipment sales or working with consultants and contractors is a strong advantage.

Work Location

  • The position is onsite, with primary responsibilities within the Nairobi area. Frequent travel to client sites and industry events will be required.
