Position Overview

As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will support our quality assurance team in maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our products. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including raw material inspection, hygiene and sanitation checks, process control, and moisture monitoring. Your contributions will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Raw Material Receiving

• Vehicle Inspections: Conduct inspections of vehicles delivering raw materials to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• SKR Analysis: Perform SKR (Sample, Knowledge, and Reporting) analysis to verify the quality of incoming materials.
• Material Identification: Accurately identify and classify materials received for production.
• Lab Analysis: Assist in laboratory analysis to assess the quality of raw materials and ensure compliance with specifications.

2. Hygiene & Sanitation

• Waste Management Checks: Oversee waste management processes, including garbage collection and disposal, to ensure proper hygiene.
• Hand Wash and Utilities Inspections: Conduct inspections of handwashing facilities and utilities to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• Housekeeping: Perform routine housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• GMP and Facility Hygiene Inspections: Monitor and inspect facility hygiene practices and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

3. Process Control

• Inspection of Style Grading: Evaluate and inspect the grading of styles to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Random Check-Ups: Conduct random inspections of customer samples and dispatched goods to ensure product consistency and quality.
• Drier Monitoring: Monitor and record drier operations, including temperature and moisture levels, to maintain optimal conditions.
• Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and process data.
• Research and Development: Contribute to research and development activities aimed at improving product quality and processes.
• Staff Training: Assist in training staff on quality assurance practices and procedures.

4. Driers & Moisture Monitoring

• Moisture Determination: Measure and determine moisture levels in blowing and heat drying driers.
• Inspection of Nut Washing: Inspect nut washing processes to ensure cleanliness and quality.
• Drier Loading and Batching: Oversee drier loading, batching processes, and traceability.
• Documentation of Drier Operations: Document drier loading, cleaning inspections, and operational details.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science: A degree in Food Science or any related business course with knowledge of FSSC (Food Safety System Certification).
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Leadership: Reliable and supportive team leader with a collaborative approach.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
