Introduction

The Republic of Kenya is committed to empowering youth and fostering professional growth through the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP). This initiative is designed to provide college graduates with hands-on experience, skill-building opportunities, and networking avenues to enhance their employment prospects and support their entrepreneurial ambitions.

The Public Service Commission (PSC) is delighted to announce the recruitment of interns for Cohort 7 under the PSIP for the Financial Year 2024/2025. This program is aimed at cultivating a new generation of skilled professionals who are prepared to contribute to efficient and effective service delivery in the public sector.

Public Service Commission Internship Program (Cohort 7) - Financial Year 2024/2025

Position Overview

Title: Interns – Public Service Commission
Duration: Twelve (12) months (Non-renewable)
Stipend: As determined by the Government
Certificate: Awarded upon successful completion

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing assigned duties: Undertake tasks mutually agreed upon and assigned by supervisors, demonstrating commitment and competence.
  • Documenting skills: Maintain records of relevant skills acquired during the internship to showcase professional development.
  • Participation in mentorship activities: Engage actively in mentorship and additional responsibilities designed to enhance learning and growth.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this internship, candidates must:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Have graduated not earlier than 2018.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills.

  • Application Deadline: 2nd September 2024
  • Application Process:
    1. Register: New users must register by providing ID/Passport Number, Surname, current Email address, and password.
    2. Log In: Access the system using the ID/Passport Number and password created.
    3. Complete Application: Ensure that all personal details, qualifications, experience, and referees are provided before submission.
    4. Print Feedback Report: After submission, print and keep a copy of the Feedback Report from the Application Summary link.
    5. Revisit Application: The system allows amendments before the advert closure date.

Important Notes

  • Accuracy: Section 100(4) of the Public Service Commission Act 2017 stipulates that false or misleading information is subject to fines or imprisonment.
  • Ongoing Opportunity: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
