Organizational Profile

Fondazione L’Albero della Vita – The Tree of Life Kenya is a Trust registered in Kenya. Our mission is to ensure the wellbeing, protection, and promotion of the rights of children and their families while fostering community development. We envision a world without poverty where children can enjoy their rights and grow up in a safe environment, protected from all kinds of violence and abuse, with access to equal opportunities.

Operating in Kenya since 2011, our focus includes Child Protection, Education, and safeguarding of children. We have a strong presence in the fields of Juvenile Justice, Care Reform, Alternative Family Care, TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training), and job inclusion for vulnerable youth. Our efforts also extend to improving education, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), nutrition, and health services in the ASAL (Arid and Semi-Arid Lands) and informal settlements of Nairobi.

About the Project

The Tree of Life is launching a new program in Kenya in collaboration with various Government Departments and national and international partners. The project, titled “RISE,” aims to enhance formal, inclusive educational services, personal and professional development, and reproductive health pathways for children and youth, both vulnerable and in conflict with the law. This initiative aligns with significant structural changes in Kenya’s Education system, Protection (Care Reform), and juvenile/child justice system (Restorative Justice, ADR).
