Role Overview

As a Program Officer at Lapid Leaders Africa, you will play a critical role in executing our youth leadership development programs. In this position, you will also support other vital organizational initiatives, such as marketing and recruitment, ensuring that our programs achieve their goals and make a lasting impact on participants. Key Responsibilities

As a Program Officer, your primary duties will include the following:

• Delivering Youth Leadership Programs: You will implement our youth-focused leadership programs, ensuring they meet their objectives and drive measurable impact.
• Developing Recruitment Strategies: You will design and execute strategic recruitment efforts to attract and enroll participants into our programs. Leveraging your knowledge of the education and social justice sectors, you will ensure that we engage the most promising candidates.
• Building Partnerships: You will foster relationships with schools, educators, and community leaders to promote Lapid Leaders Africa’s mission and build enduring partnerships.
• Tracking Program Outcomes: You will monitor and report on program success, using data-driven insights to continuously improve our offerings.
• Supporting Organizational Goals: You will work closely with your colleagues to support the overall goals of the organization, contributing to a culture of collaboration, high performance, and positive change.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate for the Program Officer role will possess the following qualifications:

• Educational Background: A degree in Education, Law, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of three years of experience working with schools, educational programs, or social justice initiatives. Experience in marketing and recruitment is highly beneficial.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. You should be adept at multitasking, managing relationships, and driving projects to successful completion.
• Passion for Youth and Social Justice: A strong commitment to youth development and a proven ability to advocate for social justice.
• Self-Motivation: The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. You should be a high achiever who is driven by the desire to make a meaningful impact.
