Mary’s Meals Kenya is offering you an exceptional opportunity to join our team as a Programme Quality Assurance Intern in Lodwar, Turkana County, Kenya. As you embark on this exciting journey, you’ll be reporting to the Programme Quality Assurance Manager and play a pivotal role in reviewing, validating, and enhancing data provided by our dedicated Delivery team. Ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and identifying trends will be your primary responsibilities. Your contribution will directly support our esteemed school feeding programme’s mission to provide nutritious daily meals to children in places of education.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy Implementation:

  • Assist in implementing Programmes Quality Assurance strategies and systems for data collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct quality compliance checks and document lessons learned, best practices, and training needs for programme field teams.

2. Data Quality Assurance:

  • Implement field data assessment tools to ensure data quality and compliance.
  • Conduct desk reviews on all critical programme data.
  • Ensure School Feeding Officers adhere to data collection SOPs and processes.

3. Anomaly Detection:

  • Utilize CRM Salesforce to detect and flag anomalies in data quality, collaborating with the Data Quality Assurance Manager.

4. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Programme Operations and Procurement Office to ensure process compliance in Warehouse Operations.
  • Regularly liaise with Programme Delivery to support data cleaning and validation by School Feeding Officers.
  • Collaborate with the Programme Delivery team and the Programme Development team to identify key programme development issues and trends.

Other Duties:

  • Represent Mary’s Meals externally as needed.
  • Adhere to MM Safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or Monitoring & Evaluation.
  • Kenyan citizenship.
  • Recent graduate, having graduated no earlier than 2021.
  • Advanced practical knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to use CRM Salesforce for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on prioritization.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proactive, flexible, and results-driven.
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting against agreed strategy.
  • Strong commitment to Mary’s Meals vision, mission, and values.

Desirable:

  • Experience with the R statistical program.
  • Flexibility in managing a high workload and multiple tasks.
  • Previous data management experience.
