Position Title: Programme Manager, Ultra-Poor Graduation

Your Opportunity with BRAC International

Are you ready to drive positive change? We’re looking for a Programme Manager to lead the Ultra-Poor Graduation initiative across BI countries. In this role, you’ll shape context-specific programmes, offer hands-on technical guidance to country teams, and play a pivotal role in enhancing livelihoods. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Programme Design: Innovate and design context-specific Ultra-Poor Graduation programmes to address comprehensive livelihood development.
  2. Technical Support: Provide expert guidance to country teams, ensuring the timely and high-quality implementation of projects. Develop and review operation manuals, training modules, IEC materials, and more.
  3. Project Management Tools: Contribute to the development and operationalization of project management tools, including budget review, workplans, and reporting formats.
  4. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate programme effectiveness, capture learnings, and recommend enhancements to fine-tune strategies and implementation.
  5. Capacity Building: Propose capacity development initiatives to maintain program standards and mentor young professionals.
  6. Monitoring & Evaluation: Collaborate with program and monitoring teams to establish M&E frameworks, KPIs, and learning objectives. Ensure timely, quality reporting to donors and stakeholders.
  7. Field Visits & Quality Assurance: Conduct periodic field visits and meetings to uphold program quality standards and initiate improvements.
  8. Digital Innovation: Drive the development and implementation of digital data collection systems and engage in action research.
  9. Knowledge Sharing: Foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing among UPG program teams in BI countries.

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of team members, promoting a safe working environment and following safeguarding standards.
  • Act as a safeguarding advocate, supporting the reporting of any incidents.
  • Uphold safeguarding policy and encourage adherence among team members.

Educational Requirements:

  • Masters in relevant discipline, preferably in Development Studies, Social Science, etc., from reputable universities.

Required Competencies:

  • Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring Graduation and/or livelihoods programmes in underserved communities.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide multi-cultural teams with strategic vision and operational focus.
  • A commitment to quality and an openness to innovative ideas.
  • Cultural sensitivity and an ability to navigate local complexities.
  • Effective team player with a knack for independent work.
  • Experience in mentoring and capacity building.
  • Proven experience as a Programme Manager in curriculum development, training, and facilitation.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in managing and implementing development programmes in challenging environments.
