Key Responsibilities

As a Program Intern, you will support various aspects of our programs, ensuring smooth implementation and contributing to our mission. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Program Implementation Support: Assist in the execution of program activities, ensuring they align with our strategic goals.
  • Programmatic Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of detailed reports on program progress and outcomes.
  • Field Project Visits: Participate in project site visits, managing logistics such as procurement and bookings.
  • Financial Reconciliations: Ensure accurate reconciliation of funds provided for program activities.
  • Political and Contextual Analysis: Conduct analysis related to program implementation, providing insights into the political landscape.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend and contribute to programmatic and staff meetings.
  • Social Media and Communication Support: Assist in enhancing our communication efforts through social media and other platforms.
  • Fundraising Support: Aid in the development of concept notes and proposals to secure funding for our initiatives.
  • Document Development: Engage in discussions related to strategic documents, including organizational strategies and white papers.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Program Advisor.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Educational Background: University degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. Candidates awaiting graduation must provide certified transcripts and a recommendation letter.
  • Political Understanding: Strong knowledge of Kenya’s political background, recent developments, and issues related to political parties, electoral institutions, gender, and youth.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and other computer-based software.
  • Organizational Skills: Well-organized, capable of managing multiple tasks, and skilled in prioritization.
  • Personal Attributes: Flexible, diligent, and team-oriented.
