As a PROCUREMENT OFFICER, you will be instrumental in shaping our procurement strategies, ensuring efficient vendor selection, and maintaining top-notch supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement Leadership:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to enhance sourcing efficiency and supplier selection processes.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of potential suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing terms to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, monitoring their performance to ensure adherence to contractual agreements and quality standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Record Keeping and Inventory Management:

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or a Higher Diploma in the same discipline.
  • Possession of 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, demonstrating a strong track record of success.
  • Registration with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management is mandatory.
  • Certification from a professional body such as CIPS or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in negotiation, contract management, and excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and the Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and best practices is highly desirable.
