Are you a recent university graduate with a passion for ICT and Public Service? The ICT Authority invites you to embark on a transformative journey with the Presidential Digital Talent Internship Programme (PDTP) Cohort VIII for the year 2023/2024. Join us in shaping the future of Kenya’s digital landscape through a structured 12-month internship in both the public and private sectors.

Internship Objective

Unleash your potential! The PDTP is designed to develop and prepare young ICT graduates to seize employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in the ICT and other sectors. This program offers a unique chance to gain invaluable workplace experience, expand your knowledge, benefit from mentorship, and build a robust professional network in the following domains:

Network & Digital Infrastructure (150 Positions)

Software Development & AI (100 Positions)

Information Security (50 Positions)

Multimedia (Graphic Design) & Digital Marketing (50 Positions)

Data Analytics (50 Positions)

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Academic Excellence: You must have graduated with First or Upper Second-Class Honors (or equivalent) from a recognized institution in the last two years (from January 2021).
  2. Pending Graduation: If you are graduating in December 2023, provide a recommendation/reference letter from your university indicating your anticipated honors.
  3. Relevant Degrees: Recent graduates in BSc. ICT or Engineering (Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Software) with expertise in one of the specified fields: Network & Digital Infrastructure, Software Development & AI, Information Security, Multimedia (Graphic Design) & Digital Marketing, or Data Analytics.
  4. Technical Proficiency: Be prepared to demonstrate technical skills in your specialization during the interview.
  5. Kenyan Youth: You must be a Kenyan youth between 21 to 29 years of age and currently unemployed.
  6. No Prior Government Internship: Applicants should not have participated in any other government internship program.
  7. Full-Time Commitment: You should be ready and willing to work on a full-time basis (8:00 am – 5:00 pm) in any government organization (MCDAs) within the 47 counties.
  8. Diversity Encouraged: Females, persons with disabilities, and graduates from ASAL regions are strongly encouraged to apply.
