What You will Do For Us
1. Leading Innovation Development
- Drive innovation development for the category, focusing on product, package, and equipment solutions for globally led brands.
- Ensure a strong 1 to 3-year innovation pipeline within the Africa Operating Unit.
- Collaborate with the global category team to bring global innovations to the Africa market.
- Share Africa Operating Unit market insights to support global innovation development.
2. Business Case Development
- Create holistic business cases for product, package, or equipment-based innovations.
- Collaborate with technical, commercial, and brand functions to develop these innovations.
- Explore new technologies, partners, and applications to enhance package-based solutions.
3. Monitoring Trends and Insights
- Stay informed about external and internal insights and consumer studies, reviewing relevant publications, reports, and research.
- Raise system awareness of important trends and their potential implications.
Role Requirement
- 10+ years of experience in brand/category management, brand innovation, portfolio management, or innovation/technical disciplines.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
- Strong consumer-driven approach to innovation, translating information into market-ready innovations aligned with brand objectives.
- Ability to develop comprehensive business cases, including market opportunity and resource/investment requirements.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and influencing skills across all levels of leadership.
Communication Focus
- Internally communicate to gain input and alignment with key stakeholders.
- Seek to understand key stakeholder positioning and develop aligned objectives for successful innovation.
- External communication with suppliers, research agencies, customers, and bottlers to gain insights for innovation pipeline development.
