Position Overview: Practice Lead for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
As the Practice Lead for FP&A, you will play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategy and driving our business forward. This position requires a strategic thinker with robust financial acumen and the ability to lead a dynamic team. Your efforts will be instrumental in establishing a comprehensive reporting framework, designing cost center structures, and integrating financial planning into our decision-making processes.
What You Will Do
Design and Implement Financial Structures
- Develop and oversee a cost center structure across the organization.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and projection processes.
- Align and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for each department.
Establish Reporting Frameworks
- Create a comprehensive reporting framework and define key financial metrics.
- Provide actionable insights and accurate decision-making support.
Drive Cross-Functional Initiatives
- Integrate financial planning into decision-making processes.
- Address risks and problems identified to improve operations (e.g., inventory management).
Risk Management and Analysis
- Identify, report, and assess financial risks.
- Recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Support Business Teams
- Provide relevant data analyses to identify areas of improvement.
- Optimize efficiency gains and cost-saving opportunities.
What You Will Need
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years leading an FP&A team.
- Proven experience in building financial processes and structures in rapidly growing organizations.
- Demonstrated success in business partnering, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
Skills and Certifications
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- High commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional certifications (CFA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA) are a plus.
