Key Responsibilities

As a Poultry Farm Manager at Kuguru Complex, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the poultry farm, ensuring that all practices adhere to the highest standards of animal welfare, production efficiency, and sustainability. Your main duties will include:

• Farm Management: Oversee the entire poultry farm, ensuring optimal livestock health, hygiene, and production processes.
• Animal Health Care: Monitor the health of poultry and manage vaccination, feeding, and overall care protocols in line with veterinary best practices.
• Staff Supervision: Lead and train farm workers to ensure that all operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
• Production Monitoring: Track production levels and ensure compliance with industry standards to maximize output.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of farm operations, including feeding schedules, production levels, and animal health.
• Resource Management: Ensure effective use of farm resources, including feed, water, and equipment, to achieve optimal production.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements for farm management and animal welfare.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Required Qualifications

• Certificate in Animal Health or equivalent veterinary qualification.
• At least one year of experience managing a poultry farm or working in an agricultural setting with direct involvement in animal care and farm operations.

Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding of poultry health management and veterinary care.
• Ability to lead a team, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in managing farm records and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and resource management.
• Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
